This autumn, we have so much to celebrate at City Retreat. As we mark an incredible 20 years in the beauty industry, it’s the perfect time to reflect on our journey and achievements. What started as a single luxury salon in Newcastle city centre has blossomed into two stunning boutique beauty salons and an award-winning day spa, all with the same commitment to excellence that we've had from the very beginning.

From A Dream To Reality

When Lesley opened City Retreat, her vision was clear: to create a high-end spa experience right in the heart of Newcastle. We’re thrilled to say that her dream has become a reality! Over the past two decades, we’ve grown not only in size but also in reputation, expanding our team of highly skilled Beauty Therapists across our three luxurious locations.

At the core of everything we do is a passion for providing top-tier beauty and wellness services to our clients. Over the years, we’ve been recognised for our hard work and dedication to excellence. In 2008, we were honoured to be named ‘The Best British Beauty Salon’ (for salons with four rooms or more), and we’ve consistently ranked among the top 5 beauty salons in the United Kingdom every year since 2005. We’ve been recognised by prestigious awards like The British Professional Beauty & World Spa Awards, The British Beauty and Spa Industry Awards, and more recently, the BABTAC Awards.

At our boutique salon, we offer some of the industry’s most cutting-edge therapies, including CACI, ELEMIS BioTec, and the revolutionary Skin Storm from Crystal Clear. The Skin Storm treatment utilises six innovative technologies, from Hydra Vacuum Cleanse to Cryo-Oxy Ice Facial Peels, all designed to give your skin the ultimate glow.
